Christians harrassed by “lawless mob” of homosexuals

Posted in Atheism, In the News by cassandra on the June 26th, 2006

…”lawless mob” of homosexuals… LMAO! Sorry, but can you picture it??Michael Marcavage of Repent America

Anyway…

According to Agape Press (you know, “Reliable News from a Christian Source”):

The head of a Philadelphia-based Christian ministry says his group was targeted by a “lawless mob” of homosexuals at the city’s annual homosexual pride event — and that city police refused to enforce state laws against harassment and disorderly conduct at that time.

[…]

While being shouted down by the homosexual activists, Marcavage calmly preached over a microphone: “You don’t get to heaven by being a good person. You don’t get to heaven by doing good things. We have all violated God’s law, and the only hope we have is found in Jesus Christ.”

The person that they were “harrassing” was Michael Marcavage, head of Repent America (yup, that’s him in the picture).

This took place during the June 11th annual Gay Pride Parade in Philly. You can see the video that Repent America has of the “offense” here. I mean really, what was that “militant mob of homosexuals” thinking? They were interupting his gay bashing!!

    Exactly.

I once belonged to a hobby forum where christians would continually post preachy BS (the kind of crap you get by email from distant relatives, coworkers, etc) Everytime I posted a response or rebuttle to what ever religous BS the people had posted I was accused of “Attacking” them and trying to take away their right to free speech. I ended up quitting because I was the only one who ever received warnings about my posts.

I’m sure that’s what happened here. The religious freaks scream hatred, and when they receive a response they’re being “victimized”.

Fuck ‘em. As long as you’re going to be accused of something…
They should’ve tarred and feathered him with silly string and rainbow sashes. -JJ

    Queer revolution — enough said.

Harrasment would have been throwing condoms at him.

This was just self-defense from Christian fascism.

The Portland Pride was great — I didn’t make it, but my wife did, she posted some pics on her blog: http://ladycelticfire.blogspot.com (with my daughter too)

Let me just say how heart-warming it is to see someone willing to stand-up to the homosexual hegemony that is threatening to overtake America and make us all gay! Michael Marcavage, and folks like him, are the last line of defence we straight people have against the limp-wristed onslaught on the American family!

May God hasten the day when there are no more queers! (Well, except for my interior decorator Bruce, the bloke can coordinate colours better than Picasso!)

Nice 80’s hair style first of all. I wanted to comment on your hate towards god and your love for sexual disease. Did you know 84% of HIV in the USA comes from men to men sexual contact and needle sharing. Oh and if you don’t think homosexual men are rude, violent, and threatning, check craig’s list where you can blog under rant and rave and see the filth you stand up for. Disease disease disease is all I have to say. Maybe you should spend less time spreading hate and more time raising your kids. I bet your kids aren’t in any sports or after school activites as you probably make no time for them. Gooooood job lady. I’d call you a mother if you were.

If the Bible said “Being gay is awesome!”, these douchebags would be all for it. Actually, they would probably be gay themselves. What a great reason to hate people!
What brought me here in the first place is that “Repent America” came to our local college, Bloomsburg University, this week bearing giant posters of aborted fetuses. They even had some dirty Jesus hippies playing a song called “It’s Not Ok to be Gay” on acoustic guitars. If I had been there to see it instead of reading about it in the paper, I would probably be imprisioned for aggrivated assault charges right now.

But it DEFINITLY would have been worth it.
